Stack Layering

This project i made in Illustrator. It is a combination of different mini projects. the top section, is what we called text stacking. We typed a word and flipped it and put them together and all sorts of things to it. The section right below it is what we call, figure ground reversal. We typed out the alphabet and put it in a little box and did some more stuff to it. The next part, one of my favorites, it is called typographic ligatures. What  I did was i typed out a saying, or place and moved the letters around and words to make it look sweet. The last section was simply me taking a picture and making the picture a letter in the word of what the word is.

New Skills: Too many to name, i learned how to make letters into shapes so I can do what i want to it. also i learned how to make images from the internet into shapes so i can mess with it also. Also i learned figure ground reversal and other things.

Reflection: I love illustrator and this project was so fun. i cannot say it enough, how much i enjoy this program and class! I LOVE IT! LOVE IT!!

I think I deserve an A on this project, 10/10 because it is really good and i worked so hard on it.

^First off, these are some kick a** logos! Some show you how to make the logo that they have for an example but others show the creative process behind they logo and how to develop your logo. They all show you how to do things with fonts though which will be helpful references in creating my logo.

Space Ship!

This here, is a space ship i made on illustrator. I made it myself with the help of dennisdesign.com. It was pretty difficult and we used a varied bunch of tools to make this wondrous project.

New Skills: We did not use many new tools but we did, however, use tools in different ways. For example I made the flames using circles but we used the path finder tool to make it look the way it is. I also learned how to use the gradient tool which is now my favorite tool in the program.

Reflection: I never thought i would enjoy using illustrator but i did and it was very difficult but my final product was awesome.

I would give my self a 10 for participation and a 10 for quality because i worked very hard on this and it had an amazing outcome.

Illustrator

This was a project to get used to illustrator and learn some tricks while were at it. I used three different tools to make this project. vectordiary.com is the website that guided me on how to make it.

Tools Used: Pen tool, pencil tool, and shape tool (ellipse, square, star)

Self Reflection:  I discovered that illustrator is a very difficult program to use and to even harder to learn. Hopefully i will get better at it but i an optimistic about illustrator because you can do a lot with it if you know how

I would give myself a 9 for participation and an 8 for the quality of the picture because although it is not the best project, i tried my best and it was very difficult.
